Dearborn, Mich. — Incentives approved for redevelopment project.

Dearborn, Mich.
— The Michigan Economic Growth Authority board has approved incentives for two vacant Ford office buildings to be used as a student housing and activities development for the University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn). The Union at Dearborn Redevelopment Project, a $47 million redevelopment effort, would benefit from tax credits of $2.34 million. Located at 760-780 Town Center Dr. in Dearborn, the two buildings total 150,000 square feet. One building would be converted into student housing, while the other building would be a student activities development.  UM-Dearborn is considering the project as it tries to establish student residency.
