Isla Vista, Calif. — Mollique Johnson will lead community building at the 1,000-bed Tropicana.
Mollique JohnsonIsla Vista, Calif. — Tropicana Student Housing has named Mollique Johnson its new director of residence life. Tropicana Student Housing offers residence hall and apartment living to more than 1,000 students attending the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). Johnson will be managing a staff of 29 and will be responsible for building community for Tropicana Del Norte, a residence hall for UCSB students; Tropicana Gardens, a residence hall for SBCC students; and the Villas at Tropicana, an apartment community for upperclassmen. “I am excited to be at Tropicana for many reasons,” Johnson says, “but what really stood out to me is the student first philosophy here.” Johnson comes to Tropicana after three years at UCSB, where he held the position of resident director.
