ROME, GA. — Berry College has recently completed two new residence halls on its campus in Rome. Designed by Atlanta-based Cooper Carry, Morgan Hall and Deerfield Hall are each 50,000 square feet in size and hold a total of 345 beds in traditional college dormitory style. Public spaces like lounges, kitchens and laundry areas have high quality finishes and furnishings. A main “jewel box” lounge is attached to Morgan Hall that features high ceilings and glass walls. Both buildings are anticipated to receive LEED-NC Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Carter USA served as project manager for the new halls, while R.J. Griffin & Co. was the contractor.
